Our Mission

We are transforming hearts, minds and lives by helping people experience God’s inclusive love through spirit-filled worship, building community and the ministries of spiritual transformation, compassion, and justice.

We are making a difference in our world, one person at a time. The outcome of our work will be changed hearts, changed minds and changed lives.

We believe transformation is the natural outcome that occurs when people have a first-hand experience of God’s inclusive love. This is an unconditional love, freely given to all. There is no further need to qualify who God’s love is for. Also, it is God’s love that is unconditional, unfortunately our love is not. This recognizes our human failure to live up to God’s standard while at the same time setting the standard where it needs to be.

There are three mediums we use to bring about this experience:

  • #1 SPIRIT-FILLED WORSHIP
Our primary medium is worship with a certain quality to it. That quality is the undeniable presence of God in the midst of our worship experience. God is the audience for our worship and we are all active participants.

  • #2 BUILDING COMMUNITY
We are in the business of building diverse communities. We do this on a small scale by creating and sustaining small groups. We do this on a medium scale through our congregation. We do this on a large scale through our work in Tallahassee of bringing marginalized people together and through our global work in partnership with MCC and other like-minded organizations.

  • #3 MINISTRIES
We use three types of ministry as our third medium to help people experience God’s love.

    • Ministries of Spiritual Transformation
As Jesus did, we will transform hearts and lives by helping people grow in their unique experience of God’s grace. As we honor the unique spiritual journey of each person, we increase our understanding and practice of spiritual principles.

    • Ministries of Compassion
Jesus saw the crowds and he had compassion on them. That compassion led him to reach out and touch them, heal them, and meet their needs. He brought wholeness to broken lives by healing mind, body and soul. We, too, seek to help people bring the disparate parts of their life together.

    • Ministries of Justice
As Jesus did, we seek to liberate people from the powers and principalities which oppress and degrade. God intends the whole of creation to be free and to freely offer itself back to God in a never-ending song of praise.

Our Core Values

We have five Core Values:

We value Worship
God is the audience and we are all the participants. Our worship demonstrates the unique identity and valued contribution of all those gathered in God’s name.
We value Community:
We have discovered in the margins of society we are blessed. Therefore, we seek to create vibrant, faith-based communities that range in size from small to large.
We value Service
People and the conditions of their lives are important to us. Because of the blessings we have received, we seek to be a blessing to others. Therefore we offer our time, talent and treasure in humble service to God, self and others.
We value Inclusion
We offer and receive authentic hospitality by creating an environment and culture that recognizes the value of each person.
We value Justice
We stand with the poor, the oppressed, and the least of our world. Therefore, we speak up and more importantly we act on their behalf.

Our Vision

We are builders. We will be known as an inclusive church home that offers a safe haven to fellow spiritual travelers from diverse walks of life. To do this, we recognize we must build bridges, a culture of hospitality, a church in community and people of faith.

We Are Building Bridges
from our places of comfort to those who are different from ourselves.
We Are Building a Culture of Hospitality
where anyone who desires to join us in our work of “Transformation through God’s Inclusive Love” may find welcome, safety, and opportunities to share their lives and gifts.
We Are Building a Church in Community
a physical and spiritual place, which we offer to our many communities as a place to grow ministry, worship in Spirit and Truth, and as a witness to God’s transforming love.
We Are Building People of Faith
who have had a personal experience of God’s love and who are growing in spiritual understanding, practice and service to God and community.
